Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. Her background spans community mental health, ABA therapy with children on the autism spectrum, massage therapy, reiki, and yoga. That combination shapes her into a therapist who understands that healing lives not just in the mind, but in the body, the story, and the relationships we carry.

Trauma, ADHD, complicated relationships, or major life transitions may have left you doubting yourself, feeling invisible, or stuck in exhausting patterns. People pleasing. Emotional overwhelm. Disconnection from yourself and others. Maybe you sense your past is driving something in your present, but you cannot fully name it or change it. Or maybe you understand your patterns clearly and still feel stuck inside them. Either way, you are in the right place.

Heather works with teens, college students, moms, and adults who are ready to move beyond survival mode and begin living with more clarity, stability, and self-trust. She specializes in supporting individuals healing from childhood and complex trauma, those navigating a later in life ADHD diagnosis, and clients working through anxiety, codependency, relationship challenges, low self esteem, depression, and major life transitions. Everyone deserves a space where their full story is met with dignity and respect.

Heather’s approach is trauma informed and grounded in attachment theory, the understanding that our earliest relationships shape how we experience ourselves and others today. She integrates evidence based modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, somatic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), schema therapy, compassion focused therapy, and narrative work. Each approach is tailored to the individual, because no two people or healing processes are the same. In practice, this means going beneath surface level symptoms to understand what is driving them. Together, you will explore and connect with all parts of yourself, including the ones that feel anxious, protective, ashamed, or overwhelmed, and begin to relate to them with understanding rather than judgment.

You will process stored trauma, including what your body has been holding onto, untangle relational patterns, strengthen boundaries, rebuild self trust, and develop practical tools for emotional regulation and more meaningful connection. Heather brings warmth, honesty, and a grounded presence to the work. She will meet you where you are while also gently challenging patterns that are no longer serving you. Many clients share that working with her is the first time they have felt truly seen and understood.

Outside of her work as a therapist, Heather values a life that feels grounded, present, and connected. She enjoys reading, cooking, reformer Pilates, and spending time in nature. As a mother, some of her most meaningful moments are spent with her daughter, whether that is reading together, caring for their pets, or volunteering by reading to animals at a local shelter. She is also committed to her own continued growth, regularly engaging with new research and therapeutic approaches to better support the clients she works with.

Heather offers trauma therapy, ADHD counseling, anxiety treatment, and relationship counseling primarily through online sessions, allowing clients to access support from the comfort and privacy of their own space. For many, especially those doing trauma work, being in a familiar environment can support deeper processing and integration. In person sessions are available Tuesday mornings at Grove Counseling Center.
