Anjelika Angosta received her Master’s of Arts Degree in School Counseling with the Licensed Professional Counseling track at Lewis University. Her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration at Saint Mary’s College of California. As a pre-licensed psychotherapist and a licensed school counselor, she wholeheartedly believes that the youth and all individuals have capabilities and superpowers that are yet to be discovered. Anjelika is committed to working with young individuals in discovering and bringing them closer to their true self. In her work as a counselor and mentor to children and adolescents of all ages, she leads with empathy and compassion. She recognizes that we all come from different walks of life, and sometimes all we need is someone to listen. In every session, her goal is to ensure a safe and welcoming environment as well as a space for her clients to feel and be brave. Anjelika is passionate about her role as a counselor, who enjoys bringing light and hope to those she works alongside.

 

Anjelika implements techniques of Reality Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy, always practicing empathetic understanding and unconditional positive regard to clients. She enjoys implementing Play Therapy in sessions with children and adolescents. Anjelika believes it is important to give children space to freely express themselves while uncovering talents and abilities that may help them feel more like themselves. Anjelika hopes her clients gain confidence, through learning the tools they need to feel empowered and to overcome any obstacles they face, while recognizing their worth and resilience.
