Heather is a pre-licensed counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. She has experience in community mental health and as a board-certified autism technician providing ABA therapy to children with varying levels of autism. Heather also draws from her background in body-based practices, including massage therapy and yoga, to incorporate mindfulness and body awareness into her work.
Â
Heather works primarily with teens, college students, moms, and adults. Many of her clients feel stuck in cycles of people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, or disconnection from themselves and others. She helps clients make sense of how their past experiences are showing up in the present while building self-trust, healthier boundaries, and more stable ways of coping and relating. She has a particular interest in working with individuals healing from unresolved childhood and complex trauma, as well as those learning to understand themselves through a late ADHD diagnosis.
Â
Heather’s approach is trauma-informed and rooted in understanding how early relationships shape the way we connect, feel, and navigate the world. She integrates evidence-based therapy with mindfulness, somatic awareness, and narrative work to support emotional regulation, deeper self-understanding, and more fulfilling relationships. She prioritizes creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and able to show up as they are without judgment.
She works online, which means sessions fit around your life — no commutes, no waiting rooms, no awkward car park moments. For trauma work, this also gives you a safe, familiar space to process deeply without having to step back into the world immediately after vulnerability. Clients can go at their own pace, in their own environment, and carry the safety of that session with them afterward.

Heather is now accepting new clients at our Downers Grove location: Grove Counseling Center 5202 Washington St Suite 1 Downers Grove, IL 60515.Â
